Leave room for sponsors
A strip along the bottom for sponsor logos keeps one banner useful all season instead of reprinting each term.
Skip the year on the design
Dropping the year lets the same banner come out next season, which usually matters more than looking current.
Send the highest-resolution crest you have
School and club crests are often only available as small web images. A vector or large PNG keeps the edges sharp at full height.
